Martin Bull is the lead elder and works full-time for the church. He is married to Linda and they have three children; Nathan, Eleanor and Isaac. Martin and Linda moved to Loughborough in late 2000 after God spoke to them about supporting a church plant in the Midlands. Martin began leading the church in January 2007. In his spare time, Martin is a keen canoeist, a wannabe triathlete and generally loves being outdoors.

Keith and Denise Munro came to Loughborough over 25 years ago to be part of a local church. Keith set up and runs The SOaR Project, working in over 40 local schools and help many local churches with their outreach to young people and their families.  Keith and Denise have 3 older children, and recently became grandparents. They have a passion for discipleship and enabling Christians to share their faith. They both like rugby and cooking, and Keith has a thing for cars!

Keith became an elder in February 2018.

Saul Algar has been part of The Well Church ever since becoming a Christian in 2010, whilst half way through his degree at Loughborough University. Saul is married to Sarah, and together they lead Alpha, Beta and outreach at The Well Church. Saul works as an engineer in the oil & gas industry and also finds time to squeeze in plenty of talking, board games, DIY and the occasional computer game.

Saul became an elder in February 2018.


We are always looking to expand our leadership, so we work with a wider team including Tom and Hannah Gooding.

Tom Gooding is married to Hannah and dad of Joel. He works as an engineer in the automotive industry. Arriving in Loughborough back in 2007 as a fresher, Tom has been at the Well ever since! He enjoys playing football and watching sport, loves all genres of music (both playing and listening) and building a large Lego collection. Tom also leads the worship team.



Sarah Algar normally works part-time as Church Administrator and Student Co-ordinator, although she is maternity leave at the moment. Sarah moved to Loughborough in 2008 to come to University. Sarah is married to Saul and together they lead the Alpha Course & outreach for The Well Church. Alongside working for The Well Church she coaches gymnastics and occasionally enjoys doing some flips herself!

Melanie Janse Van Rensburg is one half of Sarah’s maternity cover. She organises venue bookings, serving team rotas, etc… and still finds time to runs the Language School as well. Melanie joined the church, which her husband and children, in 2008.

Emily Arnold is the other half of Sarah’s maternity cover and co-ordinates the weekly emails and keeps the office stocked, among other things. She has recently graduated from the university and has been part of the church for 4 and half years.


The Well church is a registered charity (no. 1109526) and has a team of Trustees; Martin Bull, Tim Aston, Chris Collins and Saul Algar who are responsible for financial legal and health and safety matters.
