What we believe

We believe that God made you, that He loves you, and that He wants you to know Him forever.

We believe that Jesus, the Son of God, is the perfect picture of what God is like. We believe that though He is God Himself, He loves us so much that He came to us as a human, lived a perfect life, teaching us how to live life to the full and how to love God and other people. We believe that He died on a cross as a perfect sacrifice, paying the price for everything we have done wrong and all the times we have turned from God. He has brought us back into relationship with our Father God.

As followers of Jesus, we believe that He invites us into a new life with Him — not because of who we were, or anything we have achieved, but because of His grace. He invites us to turn away from our old lives and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, who as God is our comforter, our guide, and the guarantee of this new life. He changes us every day to be more like Jesus; He helps us understand the Bible, He speaks to us, and He gives us power to do the things Jesus did.

We believe that though this world is broken, one day Jesus will return as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and that sickness, weeping, and even death itself will be destroyed. We believe that everyone who truly follows Jesus as the Lord of their lives will live with Him forever.
